XRatedList is an independent directory of adult websites. We open every site by hand, test it on desktop and mobile, and rank it on what actually matters — not on who pays us. We link out to other sites; we host, stream and produce nothing ourselves.
Most porn directories are just a list of links with a payout hidden behind each one. We set out to build the opposite: a report card you can trust, where the order on the page is the honest recommendation.
How we test and rank every site
The same checks run on every listing, in the same order, whether it's a tube with a hundred million visits a month or a studio nobody has heard of. The score comes out of these five checks and nothing else:
- What you actually get for free — how much really plays without an account, and whether the free tier is watermarked, capped or gated behind a signup.
- Stream quality and player behaviour — the true resolution behind the badge, how fast it starts, and whether seeking works.
- Advertising and pop-up load — popunders on first click, redirect chains and fake “your device is infected” overlays. Back-button hijacking is disqualifying.
- Safety, privacy and payment handling — HTTPS throughout, what shows on a card statement, how easy cancellation is, and how many trackers load.
- Mobile and desktop parity — every site is opened on both, because most people browse on a phone.
How we make money
XRatedList is free to read. Some outbound links are affiliate links and the site carries display advertising — that is what keeps it free. We would rather say so plainly than bury it.
What that money does not buy is position. Rankings come out of the five checks above; a site that pays well but tests badly still ranks badly, and several of the top-rated entries pay us nothing at all. There is no paid placement and no fee to be listed.
What we will never list
Two hard lines, whatever the medium:
- Any site whose own navigation offers material involving minors.
- Any tool built to generate nude or deepfake images of real people from photographs of them.
Both are excluded by name. If you find something on a linked site that should not be there, tell us and we will re-check and, where needed, remove the listing.
A note on the persona
XRatedList is presented as a brand, not a real named individual, and any mascot or character is a fictional, satirical device used for entertainment and review purposes. The project is maintained by a small editorial team.
